Christmas Fragrances

Christmas, possibly my favourite time of year! For me Christmas starts in August, I start by grabbing and ice cold glass of something white and walk out to the sun soaked bench in the vegetable garden. From there I sit and remember my childhood Christmas', I grew up in Germany the home of Christmas so my memories are full of Christmas markets and food stalls.

Once I settle on a direction or memory of a smell from Christmas, I start the process of creating the fragrance. Several blends later and I'm finally happy with the results. By October production starts in ernest, and Launch week is in the first week of November, finally I get to see your reaction to a seed that was created in August.

This year as well as our traditional Christmas fragrances of Orange & cinnamon and Winterberries, I have created Festive Fireside, nothing says Christmas more than a fire.

This fragrance starts with an orange citrus with a middle of jasmine, oriental undertone, orchid, floral, pine all based on spicy cinnamon and sweet woody bark.

It reminds me of mulled wine parties with fires roaring.

The next fragrance is a family favourite at Christmas and comes from the street markets in Germany. Frosted candy apple!

This candle has two different layers making constantly interesting. The first is creamy swirls of caramel then the next sniff you will get the crunchy red apple that lies beneath. A really Hollywood fragrance!

The final new Christmas fragrance for this year is a much more floral affair. Winter Rose and Pink Peppercorn. This fragrance is a beautiful run up to Christmas day, filling your home with a sweet, spicy seasonal scent. The rose is complemented by the pink peppercorn, tonka, and vanilla underneath making it a lovely grounded fragrance. Perfect for when you get the poinsettia display arranged.

Whatever you chose, I'm sure you will create your own Christmas memories that will last a life time. Happy Christmas.
